About the position

The Sales Manager at Resorts World Las Vegas is responsible for driving sales across the entire range of hotel products, focusing on both acquiring new business and upselling to existing clients. This role involves building and maintaining relationships with major clients, generating new business opportunities, and achieving revenue targets through strategic sales initiatives and collaboration with various departments.

Responsibilities

  • Solicit FIT bookings via approved travel agencies.
  • Provide sales, services, and coordination of travel agent events with Hotel, Catering, Casino, and other related departments.
  • Conduct and escort site inspections for prospective clients.
  • Host prospective clients visiting the hotel, including dining and entertainment experiences.
  • Formulate a GDS advertising plan on a quarterly basis.
  • Develop strategies to capture travel agent bookings in Las Vegas.
  • Create awareness and actively sell goods and services at trade shows and industry functions.
  • Meet or exceed room revenue and food and beverage quotas with small group bookings.
  • Develop marketing suggestions to maximize occupancy during low seasonal periods.
  • Provide ongoing evaluation and account analysis on a monthly basis.
  • Maintain knowledge of competitor's products and pricing.
  • Travel as required by Department Head.
  • Work with Corporate Advertising on travel agent newsletter and education programs.
  • Develop and maintain a travel agent database for promotional information.

Requirements

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to mentor and lead a team effectively.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Applications (Word, Excel).
  • Ability to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Polished appearance and demeanor.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to understand company and department rules and regulations.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Delphi and Opera systems.
  • Previous experience in a large, luxury resort setting.
