Responsibilities

  • Drive business decisions based on market data and provide actionable recommendations for growth.
  • Collaborate with Sam's Club Sales partners to leverage Insights and Analytics for business growth.
  • Master storytelling and communication to turn data into actionable insights.
  • Anticipate future business momentum and market share impacts through predictive analysis.
  • Solve complex business challenges by working with cross-functional teams.
  • Establish KPIs and best practices to measure the impact of new product developments and activations.
  • Synthesize multiple data sources into insights to fill knowledge gaps and foster a data-driven culture.
  • Align with cross-functional teams on projections for innovation projects.
  • Manage the complete product life cycle including brand and communication strategy, innovation, and market execution.
  • Represent the Analytics & Insights team in professional organizations and meetings.

Requirements

  • BA/BS required; Masters preferred.
  • 5+ years of work experience required; 3+ years in consumer research in CPG.
  • Experience with Madrid, Luminate, Retail Link, or Walmart/Sam's Club.
  • Strong knowledge of business practices, marketing principles, and retail environment.
  • Understanding of consumer-based market structures and volumetric forecasting.
  • Deep knowledge of Nielsen/IRI POS and Panel household data.
  • Experience with data mining using various syndicated tools.
  • Ability to conduct causal analysis and understand pricing architectures.

Nice-to-haves

  • Client-side work in CPG preferred.
  • Supplier-side research experience a plus.
