About the position

The Manager of School Support and Accountability at Denver Public Schools is responsible for overseeing the operational and transactional responsibilities of the department. This role focuses on managing day-to-day activities related to accountability initiatives, ensuring effective communication and collaboration with district leaders, and driving the vision and delivery of accountability systems. The position emphasizes building engagement and empowering teams to achieve results, with a significant focus on the School Performance Framework and related processes.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Director of Reporting & Accountability in supporting accountability initiatives within the district.
  • Collaborate with District and Division leaders to identify key questions and develop recommendations.
  • Support the development and implementation of measures of school performance at district and stakeholder levels.
  • Inform leadership regarding changes in legislation and their implications for the state school performance framework.
  • Lead the development and refinement of district school accountability systems and tools.
  • Manage the publication and communication of the annual school performance framework.
  • Build and maintain relationships with the Colorado Department of Education and accountability partners.
  • Lead specialists in developing and implementing policies regarding transcripts and graduation requirements.
  • Ensure support for all District high schools in transcript work and graduation requirements.
  • Design and maintain systems for ongoing improvement in District progress monitoring tools.
  • Manage communications regarding policy changes and important timelines.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree is required.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Education or a related area (e.g., sociology, statistics, psychology, economics, policy) is preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in K-12 education is required, with 9-12 experience preferred.
