About the position

The Manager SCM position at Webasto in New Hudson, MI, is a permanent role focused on overseeing the supply chain management within the Roof & Components (RC) business unit. This unit is dedicated to developing and producing advanced roof systems for various vehicle types, including those designed for autonomous driving. The successful candidate will leverage modern technologies and materials to enhance product innovation and ensure a sustainable future in mobility. The role requires a blend of technical skills and management experience, as the individual will be responsible for the complete logistics process, including inventory control, receiving, storage, packaging design, and transport costs. In this position, the manager will have budget responsibilities and will be tasked with reducing inventory and improving processes across the entire supply chain. This includes managing the flow of goods and information from suppliers, ensuring that logistics delivery quality meets the standards set by Webasto. The manager will also implement and facilitate escalation meetings with both national and international suppliers and customers to address any issues that arise. A strong emphasis will be placed on communication, relationship management, and conflict resolution, as these skills are crucial for maintaining effective partnerships and achieving operational goals. The role also involves the analysis and development of measures aimed at consistently improving logistics processes in line with the Webasto production system. Candidates should be prepared to engage in SAP optimization measures at the plant level, ensuring that the logistics operations are efficient and effective. Responsibilities

• Management and budget responsibility for the complete logistics including inventory control, receiving, storage, empty packaging, packaging design, and logistics and transport costs.
• Responsible for the complete flow of goods and information from suppliers, including receiving, storage, empty packing, and packaging design.
• Responsible for inventory reduction and process improvement in the entire supply chain.
• Management and implementation of SAP optimization measures at the plant.
• Analysis and development of measures for consistent improvement and further development of logistics processes according to the Webasto production system.
• Improvement of logistics delivery quality from suppliers.
• Implementation and facilitation of escalation meetings with national and international suppliers and customers.

• Several years of work experience, preferably in the automotive industry.

• SAP R/3 process knowledge.
