About the position

CVS Pharmacy, Inc., a CVS Health company, is seeking a Manager, Scrum Master to oversee and manage information technology projects specifically for CVS digital projects and products. This role is pivotal in planning, initiating, and executing projects that develop software solutions tailored to meet business requirements. The Manager, Scrum Master will be responsible for ensuring that project execution adheres to established schedules and scopes, while also determining the feasibility of solution designs and preparing the necessary technical design documentation. The position requires the planning of application development stages to enhance functionality and features, with a strong emphasis on performance, reliability, and maintainability. The Manager will provide comprehensive program and project oversight across the full project lifecycle, which includes team formation, planning, requirements gathering, design, build, testing, deployment, and warranty support for medium to large projects. Additionally, the role involves writing and reviewing high-quality code, performing unit and/or automation testing, and collaborating with project personnel to identify and resolve any issues that may arise. Monitoring progress milestones and deliverables is a key responsibility, as is supporting applications, systems, and databases utilized for healthcare activities. The Manager, Scrum Master will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure best practices in software development are followed, and will also mentor junior team members to foster their growth and development within the organization. This position offers the flexibility of telecommuting, with multiple openings available.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, initiate, and manage information technology projects for CVS digital projects and products.
  • Develop software solutions to meet business requirements and manage project execution to ensure adherence to schedule and scope.
  • Determine feasibility of solutions design and prepare technical design documentation.
  • Plan stages of application development to improve functionality and features with a focus on performance, reliability, and maintainability.
  • Provide program and project oversight, direction, and administration across full project lifecycles, including team formation, planning, requirements, design, build, test, deployment, and warranty support.
  • Write and review high quality code and perform unit and/or automation testing.
  • Confer with project personnel to identify and resolve problems.
  • Monitor progress milestones and deliverables.
  • Support applications, systems, and databases used for healthcare activities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on applications development, technical requirements, code review, project deliverables, quality assurance, and software development best practices.
  • Mentor junior team members.

Requirements

  • Masters degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Two (2) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation.
  • Two (2) years of experience in Agile methodologies and SAFe Software Development Principles.
  • Two (2) years of experience with JIRA and Rally.
  • Two (2) years of experience in the Software development lifecycle.
  • Two (2) years of experience in analyzing large data sets from multiple data sources.
