About the position

The Security Operations Center Manager at HealthPartners is responsible for overseeing security operations, systems, and technology to ensure safe and efficient care delivery and business operations. This role involves developing and refining security strategies, managing a team, and implementing a comprehensive security operations center program to prepare for and respond to emergencies and disasters.

Responsibilities

  • Leading security operations center colleagues by managing, mentoring, and coaching staff while setting department objectives and metrics.
  • Participating in the Security Systems and Technology leadership team's strategy and tactics work, aligning daily workflows with organizational goals.
  • Managing security systems and technology projects as determined by the Director.
  • Covering frontline roles and duties within the security operations center as needed.
  • Developing policies, procedures, work standards, and job aids for the department.
  • Building and maintaining business continuity strategies to reduce risk and close gaps identified through assessments.
  • Interacting with senior leaders and colleagues across the organization.
  • Performing other duties as assigned by the Director.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in a related field and/or five years of related experience in healthcare project/program management, emergency management, business continuity, technology, and/or security.
  • Experience with security operations center daily work and leadership.
  • Experience with physical security technology end user deployment and troubleshooting.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proven project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects and prioritize tasks.
  • Strong critical thinking skills for effective response and recovery strategies.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, multi-task, and prioritize deadlines.
  • Strong technology and physical security skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with business continuity and mass notification software (EverBridge).
  • Experience in Healthcare Emergency Management.
  • Experience with Business Impact Analysis (BIA).
  • Experience with Genetec security systems and technology.
  • Experience with Omnigo documentation software.
  • Experience integrating disparate security systems.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office.
