About The Position

The Security Manager at Baptist Health South Florida is responsible for overseeing security operations, conducting investigations into theft and violations, and managing security personnel. This role involves preparing daily assignments, maintaining security systems, and ensuring effective surveillance monitoring on campus. The Security Manager will also be involved in the hiring, training, and potential termination of security staff under the guidance of the Director of Security.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Five years of experience in security, with at least two years in a supervisory role.
• Proficient in conflict management and self-defense skills.
• Computer proficiency with Excel, Word, Prowatch, and video surveillance systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct investigations for suspected or known theft or other violations.
• Prepare daily work assignments for line personnel and staff.
• Oversee operation and maintenance of security systems and key control systems.
• Write detailed and updated incident reports for daily meetings.
• Ensure effective monitoring of surveillance for the campus.
• Interview, hire, and train new employees in the security department.
• Terminate employees when necessary.
