About the position

The Security Manager at TidalHealth Peninsula Regional is responsible for overseeing security operations across assigned areas, ensuring the safety and protection of staff, patients, visitors, and property. This role involves developing security policies, providing leadership to security staff, managing parking and reception services, and coordinating with law enforcement and other agencies as necessary. The position also includes responsibilities as the Security Training Coordinator.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement security policies and procedures for assigned areas.
• Provide leadership and direction to subordinate security staff.
• Oversee the operation of parking and reception services.
• Conduct and oversee investigations related to security incidents.
• Ensure the safety and security of staff, patients, visitors, and property.
• Coordinate with federal, state, and local law enforcement and other jurisdictional services.
• Function as the Security Training Coordinator.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in law enforcement or equivalent experience.
• Valid driver's license with an appropriate driving record.
• Licensed as a Maryland Special Police Officer within six months of hire or transfer.
• Range Safety Officer certification required within six months of hire or transfer.
• Minimum of five years of experience in armed law enforcement, security, and protection services.
• Previous leadership experience is required.
• Experience working in a healthcare facility is required.
