About the position

The Market Access Insights (MAI) organization within AbbVie's Marketing Analytics and Business Insights (MABI) function is responsible for shaping market access strategies for AbbVie's US brands. This role involves leading analytics and insights for a key oncology brand, influencing market access strategy through data analytics, customer insights, and business knowledge. The position requires strong data analytics capabilities and expertise in the U.S. Market Access and Community Group Purchasing Organization (GPO) environment, providing insights that directly impact patient and physician access to AbbVie Oncology brands.

Responsibilities

  • Lead analytics and insights on a key oncology brand to influence market access strategy.
  • Co-develop innovative contracting strategies with U.S. Market Access commercial leaders to maximize net sales.
  • Identify market dynamics that shape brand demand in the community GPO channel and build models to portray risks and opportunities.
  • Leverage data science to proactively address opportunities and threats in the U.S. Oncology Healthcare landscape.
  • Build collaborative relationships with internal U.S. Market Access Marketing and Field stakeholders.
  • Align insights and analytics with brand analytics partners to positively impact brand decision making.
  • Deliver brand specific GPO analytical insights to drive data-driven decision making.
  • Develop GPO contracting strategies using advanced modeling techniques to inform financial projections.
  • Understand the impact of pathways and utilization management on overall demand and line of therapy usage.
  • Conduct investigative analytics to validate market phenomena related to competitive or customer tactics.
  • Identify value drivers that guide data development and value positioning to the GPO channel.
  • Manage suppliers and stakeholders, leading external analytics to deliver compelling learnings and strategies.
  • Communicate Market Access GPO insights to leadership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5+ years of professional experience
  • 2+ years of related industry experience in marketing/sales analytics, modeling and/or data science
  • Technical skills including SQL, SAS, R, Python, Dataiku and/or Power BI
  • Strong storytelling skills; ability to distill complex information into concise and impactful messages.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree or MBA
  • Strong working knowledge of Community GPO and syndicated pharmaceutical data sources
  • Oncology experience
  • Market Access experience and subject matter expertise with Community GPOs, Hospital Systems, and Healthcare stakeholders
  • Advanced analytics and modeling experience.
