About the position

The Manager/Senior Manager, Sales position at Salesforce involves leading a team of Business Development Representatives, Business Development Managers, or Account Executives to sell the Salesforce Customer Success Platform across various verticals. The role focuses on driving team performance, formulating strategies for business growth, and ensuring alignment with sales objectives. The Sales Leader will be responsible for developing the team, generating revenue, and achieving quotas while engaging with multiple departments within the company.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of Business Development Representatives, Business Development Managers, or Account Executives.
  • Formulate and implement strategies to increase business growth.
  • Develop and train teams into sales-ready candidates for future Account Executive positions.
  • Create industry-specific pipeline programs to drive pipeline and revenue.
  • Motivate individuals and teams to exceed objectives through coaching and incentives.
  • Regularly report on team and individual results, including pipeline generation and revenue forecasting.
  • Collaborate with Marketing on campaign follow-up and reporting.
  • Work closely with Executive Leadership and Sales Leaders to ensure pipeline quality and proper follow-up.
  • Identify and recommend improvements in process, efficiency, and productivity.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of sales leadership experience developing a team of seven or more quota-carrying salespeople.
  • Strong background in leading sales teams.
  • Excellent presentation and executive engagement skills.
  • Excellent negotiation skills.
  • Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree strongly preferred.
