About the position

The Manager/Senior Manager, Sales Development role at Salesforce involves leading a team of Business Development Representatives and Account Executives to drive sales across various verticals. The position focuses on formulating and implementing strategies to enhance business growth while ensuring team performance and development. The Sales Leader will collaborate with multiple departments to achieve sales objectives and generate revenue, making this a pivotal role in the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Hire, train, and develop a team of Business Development Representatives and Account Executives.
  • Develop teams into sales-ready candidates for future Account Executive positions.
  • Create industry-specific pipeline programs to drive pipeline and revenue.
  • Motivate individuals and teams to exceed objectives through coaching and creative incentives.
  • Regularly report on team and individual results, including pipeline generation and revenue forecasting.
  • Work closely with marketing to define campaign follow-up and reporting.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership and sales leaders to ensure pipeline quality and proper follow-up.
  • Identify and recommend improvements in processes, efficiency, and productivity.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of sales leadership experience developing a team of seven or more quota-carrying salespeople.
  • Strong background in leading sales teams.
  • Proven ability to create high-performing teams and lead them to success.
  • Excellent presentation and executive engagement skills.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
