About the position

The SEO Manager at Party City is responsible for developing and executing SEO strategies to enhance the company's online presence and drive traffic and revenue through search marketing activities. This role involves collaboration with various teams to optimize web content and support overall search marketing insights, particularly in a hybrid work environment based in Woodcliff Lake, NJ.

Responsibilities

  • Ongoing keyword discovery, trends, and optimization for everyday/seasonal categories and blogs content.
  • Execute gap analysis and competitive research to identify organic search opportunities and provide data-substantiated insights and recommendations.
  • Track, analyze, and report metrics for SEO/SEM initiatives and campaigns, providing recommendations for updates based on learnings.
  • Create SEO guides for UX/Copy team and assess planned UX updates for the site.
  • Propose and lead new SEO enhancements for additional non-branded traffic, including backlinks and local opportunities.
  • Stay updated on Google releases and updates to identify needed site optimizations and escalate recommendations to leadership.
  • Lead monitoring and recommendations to improve website health and troubleshoot technical issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in mathematics, statistics, computer science/engineering, or other quantitative field, or equivalent training.
  • 3+ years of managing a large-scale and multi-dimensional SEO program, ideally in a B2C e-commerce environment.
  • Expert understanding of search marketing across organic and paid channels.
  • Proficiency in analytics and campaign performance data interpretation and measurement.
  • Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Salesforce Commerce Cloud, JIRA, and IT development/UAT.
  • Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, schema.org, and JavaScript development and constraints.
  • Proficient in PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
