About the position

The Manager of Shared Accounting at Troon Golf is responsible for ensuring the delivery of consistent, compliant, and high-quality accounting services to managed facilities. This role involves establishing standard operating procedures, providing training, and facilitating transitions within Shared Accounting. The manager will lead a team based in Scottsdale, AZ, overseeing client accounting operations and driving strategic growth initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Manage client accounting operations and support Troon's managed facilities with full-cycle accounting.
• Identify and implement optimizations in quality, efficiency, and timeliness of operations.
• Lead the development of associates, plan and direct work, and engage in performance management and career development.
• Serve as a technical resource ensuring reporting aligns with GAAP and regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with leaders to develop strategies for service quality, technology, and internal controls.
• Establish standard operating procedures defining team roles for Shared Accounting services.
• Develop and execute plans for employee retention, cross-training, and recruiting.
• Implement and monitor compliance with standard operating procedures reflecting service standards.
• Oversee accounting transitions for new contracts and coordinate integration processes.
• Conduct periodic visits to managed properties and regional offices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in accounting or finance.
• 4-6 years of related experience or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience with HOA accounting is a plus.
• Strong technical knowledge related to GAAP.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required.
• Experience with accounting software applications.

Nice-to-haves

• CPA preferred but not required.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations is a plus.
