About the position

The Manager of Simulation Operations at Children's Minnesota is responsible for overseeing the simulation program operations, project management, and accreditation management. This role is crucial for ensuring the efficient functioning of a multisite healthcare simulation program that serves various stakeholders. The manager will lead daily operations, implement program strategies, and collaborate with staff and external users to develop high-quality simulation curricula. This position also involves supervising simulation operations specialists and an administrative assistant, while ensuring compliance with accreditation standards and supporting patient safety goals.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee simulation program operations and ensure efficient daily functioning.
  • Manage project timelines and deliverables for simulation initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with accreditation standards for healthcare simulation programs.
  • Collaborate with program staff and external users to develop simulation curricula.
  • Advise program leadership on necessary resources for high-quality simulation experiences.
  • Supervise simulation operations specialists and an administrative assistant.
  • Implement program strategies to meet organizational needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in education, communications, business, or healthcare administration.
  • Minimum three years of related experience in simulation healthcare, operations, or business/communications.
  • Experience in employee supervision, support, and development.
  • Proven track record of managing multiple projects with varying deadlines.
  • Experience managing budgets and developing policies and procedures.
  • Familiarity with accreditation processes and development of standard operating procedures.

Nice-to-haves

  • Certified Healthcare Simulation Operations Specialist (CHSOS) certification.
  • Valid Class B Driver's License.
