About the position

The Manager of Social Media and Digital Marketing at Duke University School of Law is responsible for overseeing the Law School's social media presence and digital marketing efforts. This role involves developing and executing a strategic social media strategy that aligns with the Law School's communications objectives, fostering community engagement, and managing digital advertising campaigns. The position requires collaboration with faculty and administration to enhance the Law School's brand and outreach through effective social media practices.

Responsibilities

  • Execute a strategic social media strategy based on the Law School's communications objectives and priorities, managing an editorial calendar for social media.
  • Collaborate to produce meaningful and engaging social media content that encourages community amplification and action.
  • Foster social brand building throughout the Law School community, providing tools and best practices.
  • Serve as a member of the editorial team to ensure purposeful content production and cross-functional coordination.
  • Monitor social media and web metrics to provide market intelligence and competitive analysis, ensuring brand health.
  • Provide strategic communications support to faculty and administration, advising on effective social media use and providing training.
  • Partner on the development of organic social media and digital advertising standards, ensuring adherence by the Law School community.
  • Manage digital advertising campaigns to support communications and marketing goals, tracking performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Journalism, English, or a related discipline.
  • Two years of directly related writing experience or an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience.
  • 5 to 7 years of experience using social media for marketing, communications, or public relations strategies.
  • Experience developing paid social media and search advertising campaigns.
  • Experience using analytical tools to monitor performance and engagement.
