About the position

The Social Media Manager at Gia-Pacific will adopt a consumer-first approach to lead the development and implementation of comprehensive social media strategies for the Quilted Northern, Angel Soft, and Aria toilet paper brands. This role is pivotal in understanding, reaching, and engaging target audiences through integrated media plans and innovative communication strategies aimed at enhancing brand awareness, connection, and conversion across various platforms, including paid social media, influencer marketing, and organic social media. The ideal candidate will possess critical thinking skills to address business challenges with a solutions-oriented mindset while effectively navigating the company's business processes, tools, resources, and vision to maximize profitability and achieve business results. In this role, the Social Media Manager will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive paid social media strategy that aligns with brand objectives and marketing goals. This includes setting up and managing social media advertising campaigns across key platforms, optimizing performance, and improving in-market results. The manager will create brand experiences that resonate with consumers, drive earned media, and foster continuous improvement and innovation. Additionally, the role involves managing influencer marketing activations, building relationships with influencers and brand ambassadors, and collaborating with corporate communications to manage consumer responses on social platforms. The Social Media Manager will also partner with brand teams to develop key performance indicators (KPIs) for campaigns, analyze and report on these KPIs to measure the effectiveness of social media efforts, and update monthly investment and performance reports for the Brand Building team. The position requires tracking competitor activity and industry trends, curating engaging content for organic social media presence, and managing the organic social calendar. Staying updated on social media trends and recommending innovative strategies will be essential to maintain a competitive edge in the market.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive paid social media strategy aligned with brand objectives and marketing goals
  • Setup & manage social media advertising campaigns across all key social media platforms, including setting objectives, targeting audiences, and optimizing performance
  • Optimize campaigns in-flight to improve in-market performance and MMM ROI
  • Create brand experiences that resonate with consumers, drive earned media and foster continuous improvement & innovation
  • Manage influencer marketing activations with influencer agency & brand teams
  • Build and maintain relationships with influencers and brand ambassadors to expand our reach
  • Review Creators and concepts with brand teams for alignment
  • Collaborate with Corporate Communications team on managing consumer responses on social platforms
  • Partner with Tissue brand teams to develop KPI's for campaigns
  • Analyze and report on KPI's to measure the efficiency & effectiveness of social media campaigns and optimize strategies accordingly
  • Update monthly investment & performance reports for Brand Building team
  • Lead Sales Lift Study and Brand Lift Study with key social media platform partners & national media agency
  • Track and report on competitor activity and industry trends
  • Partner with creative teams to curate and manage engaging content (images, videos, stories, etc.) for our organic social media presence, ensure consistency in visual identity and tone across all social media channels
  • Manage organic social calendar and posting
  • Lead Surprise & Delights with consumers & influencers
  • Stay updated on social media trends, platform updates, and best practices, and recommend innovative strategies to stay ahead of the curve

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Knowledge of social media platforms, algorithms, and best practices
  • Experience working in matrixed organizations with multiple stakeholders and developing relationships with external partners and internal capabilities
  • Experience with analyzing media performance KPIs and identifying opportunities for optimizations

Nice-to-haves

  • 1 year of experience building and managing campaigns on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, and YouTube
  • Knowledge of different digital media platforms, industry trends, key players, and digital media supply chain for multiple channels (programmatic, social, search)
  • 2+ years of experience in media buying and/or planning at a CPG brand or media agency or other social buying platform
