About the position

As the Manager of Social Media for L'Oreal Paris Hair, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the brand's online presence and engagement strategies. This position is based in Hudson Yards, NYC, and reports directly to the VP of Marketing. L'Oreal has a rich history of over a century in the beauty industry, and our mission is to democratize beauty while ensuring sustainability. In this role, you will collaborate with various teams, including Marketing, Omni-Shopper, PR, and Digital Marketing, to develop long-term social media strategies that align with divisional business objectives and enhance consumer experiences. Your responsibilities will include crafting innovative strategies to compete in the Hair Care & Color social landscape, identifying new platforms for engagement, and leading influencer strategies. You will be responsible for creating consumer-centric content that resonates with our audience, ensuring that all content aligns with L'Oreal Paris' brand equity and global marketing standards. Additionally, you will oversee the execution of social media strategies that drive awareness, engagement, and sales, while also managing relationships with retailers to enhance social content plans. Analytics will be a key component of your role, as you will regularly pull reports to assess the effectiveness of social strategies and content. You will manage the social media budget, ensuring that resources are allocated efficiently and effectively. Your ability to define objectives and set KPIs for social platforms will be crucial in measuring success and adapting strategies based on business goals. This role requires a deep understanding of the social media landscape, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work cross-functionally to drive brand love and consumer loyalty.

Responsibilities

  • Develop long-term vision for L'Oréal Paris social media that aligns with divisional business objectives.
  • Create strategies to compete in the Hair Care & Color social landscape.
  • Identify and implement test & learn social opportunities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on category/franchise footprint.
  • Lead influencer strategy and vision for the category.
  • Develop consumer-centric content based on marketing briefs.
  • Create timely content that complements pre-planned strategies.
  • Enhance relationships with retailers through tailored social content plans.
  • Execute earned and owned social media strategies to drive brand awareness and sales.
  • Craft storytelling concepts for 'always on' programs and in-store moments.
  • Manage social budget and optimize spending.
  • Define objectives and set KPIs for social platforms to measure effectiveness.
  • Pull and provide regular analytics reports to assess strategy and content performance.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in Social Media, Influencer Relations, and Paid Media for a consumer brand.
  • Expertise in the social and digital landscape.
  • Experience in photography and editing.
  • Strong background in beauty and editorial content creation.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and develop big picture strategies.
  • Creative skills to develop new content and think outside the box.
  • Strong analytics skills with experience using tools like NetBase, Rival IQ, and Tribe.

Nice-to-haves
