About the position

Real Chemistry is seeking a Manager, Social Media to join our dynamic team in New York City. This role is pivotal in enhancing our clients' social media presence and requires a deep understanding of various social platforms including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, TikTok, YouTube, and Pinterest. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing both organic and paid social strategies, advising clients on best practices, and ensuring that all social media campaigns are executed effectively. This position offers the flexibility of a hybrid work schedule, allowing for both remote work and in-office collaboration. In this role, you will sharpen your creative skills by crafting engaging and compelling social media content. You will collaborate with creative teams, including designers and copywriters, to produce outstanding content tailored for different social platforms and ad units. As the day-to-day social media lead across multiple healthcare accounts, you will work closely with integrated teams, advising on content development, distribution, paid promotions, and results reporting. Your ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment will be crucial, as you will need to manage multiple competing deadlines while maintaining strong organization and tracking of client communications. Continuous learning and innovation are key components of this role. You will be expected to cultivate and maintain an in-depth understanding of social media platforms and trends, guiding integrated teams to help Real Chemistry remain a leader in the healthcare marketing space. Responsibilities

  • Master all things social media including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, TikTok, YouTube, and Pinterest.
  • Develop organic and paid social strategies, advising clients on best practices and incorporating paid social into overall strategies.
  • Write engaging and fresh social media content, collaborating with creative teams to develop outstanding content for clients.
  • Act as the day-to-day social media lead across multiple healthcare accounts, advising on content development, distribution, paid promotions, and results reporting.
  • Maintain strong organization and tracking of client communications to ensure all deadlines are met, managing multiple competing deadlines effectively.
  • Cultivate and maintain in-depth knowledge of social media platforms and trends to guide integrated teams.

Requirements

  • 2-4 years of experience in social media, ideally in a regulated industry (biotech, pharmaceutical, or financial).
  • College degree (BA or equivalent).
  • Proficiency in social media, both personally and professionally.
  • Understanding of how paid promotion works on major social media platforms: Facebook/Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn.
  • Highly organized with the ability to multi-task and work under limited supervision.
  • Experience collaborating effectively as part of an integrated team.
  • Outstanding written and oral communication and presentation skills.
  • Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint.
  • Agency experience in a client-facing role preferred.
  • Understanding of FDA regulations guiding social media efforts for biotech and pharma clients preferred.
