About the position

Fairmont is seeking an experienced Social Media Manager to lead global social media initiatives. This role is pivotal in implementing our content strategy and fostering relationships with content agencies and hotel partners. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in luxury hospitality and social media management, ensuring that our brand voice and visual identity are consistently represented across all platforms. The Social Media Manager will drive the execution of a global social media strategy that aligns with our overall marketing objectives. This includes developing platform-specific strategies that consider geographical nuances, seasonal events, and global campaigns to enhance key performance indicators. The role requires meticulous tracking of events, campaigns, and strategic projects, collaborating closely with the social media team to ensure seamless integration with ongoing strategies and content plans. In addition to strategic planning, the Social Media Manager will oversee content creation and curation. Acting as the primary contact for our content agency, the manager will collaborate with internal teams and external partners to produce engaging content that resonates with our audience. This includes managing all aspects of campaign ROI, overseeing photoshoots and video shoots, and developing content calendars to ensure timely postings that align with brand campaigns. Analytics and reporting are crucial components of this role. The Social Media Manager will master organic social media performance by utilizing data to extract key insights, track and analyze data from management tools, and oversee the monthly organic creative strategy dashboard. This role will also involve identifying target audiences, conducting competitive analysis, and developing a social iteration roadmap to curate long-term strategic insights. Collaboration is key, as the Social Media Manager will work closely with PR, digital marketing, brand partnerships, and local hotel teams to align social media efforts with overall marketing campaigns. Staying updated on the latest social media trends and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations is essential. The manager will continuously propose creative ideas to enhance engagement and drive community feedback into broader marketing campaigns.

Requirements

  • Degree in Media, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience managing social media for luxury brands, preferably in hospitality.
  • Experience in content creation and collaboration with talents is a plus.
  • Proficient across all social media platforms with excellent communication skills in English.
  • Expertise in social media management tools (e.g., Sprinklr, Sprout Social).
  • Strong understanding of SEO, analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics), and content management systems.
  • Awareness of global environments in luxury hospitality and diverse audiences.
  • Excellent multitasking and organizational abilities.
