About the position

The Social Media Manager at Power FC is responsible for enhancing the club's online presence and supporting fan engagement through effective social media strategies. This role involves managing content across various platforms, driving audience growth, and ensuring alignment with the club's marketing and community initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Leads the social content ideation, creation, and copywriting on all social platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, and YouTube)
  • Develop strategies to drive fan engagement and build community, engaging and interacting with followers
  • Captures real-time coverage during local events
  • Drive engagement across all social platforms to help drive audience growth
  • Track content performance, discover, and implement actionable insights
  • Ability to do small graphic design projects for social media
  • Develop the strategy for expanding onto newer social platforms to increase reach and fan interaction with the brand
  • Engage with followers, respond to comments & messages, and foster a positive & interactive community utilizing the club's brand voice
  • Research trends and topics in the sports and entertainment industry to create content that fits within our strategy and offer recommendations
  • Supports the marketing and communications team with campaign ideations and execution, website content migration, and creative asset management.

Requirements

  • 3+ years' experience in a similar field of work
  • Bachelor's degree in related field, preferably marketing or communications
  • Managerial experience within a social media department
  • Demonstrated understanding of social media platforms and their unique audiences
  • In-depth knowledge of branded content and digital media
  • Ability and understanding of paid social media campaigns
