The New York Mets are seeking a dynamic and creative individual to join our team as a Social Media Manager. This role is pivotal in ideating, creating, and publishing engaging content across all NY Mets and subsidiary social media channels, including Facebook, X, TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, and Snapchat. The successful candidate will be responsible for real-time in-game social media coverage, ensuring that our fans are engaged and informed during games. This position requires collaboration with the NY Mets Corporate Partnership Team and Major League Baseball (MLB) to develop branded and sponsored content that resonates with our audience. Additionally, the Social Media Manager will play a key role in driving revenue through promotional giveaway nights, ceremonies, theme nights, and other marquee games throughout the season. In terms of content planning and strategy, the Social Media Manager will oversee the social media calendar, ensuring that all information is current and that content is executed in a timely manner throughout the year. This role involves collaboration with various internal teams to track and report on social media performance, providing insights and trends to leadership. The candidate will also conduct competitive analysis to identify best practices and areas for improvement, supporting the influencer marketing strategy by managing outreach and logistics. Furthermore, the Social Media Manager will assist in developing materials and resources to educate stakeholders on available social programs and performance metrics. A significant aspect of this role includes managing a team of two social media coordinators, providing guidance and feedback to foster their professional growth and development. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in social media content creation, particularly within the sports industry, and possess a deep understanding of Major League Baseball and current online trends. This position requires a self-starter who can thrive in a fast-paced environment and is willing to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
