About the position

The role involves overseeing the daily management of social media platforms, ensuring timely and engaging content rollout, and managing live coverage for sports events. The position requires collaboration with the Senior Director of Social Media on strategy and content decisions, while also working with cross-functional teams to maintain consistent brand messaging. The candidate will monitor performance metrics and stay updated on industry trends.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day management of social media platforms.
• Ensure timely and engaging content rollout on a daily basis.
• Manage live coverage for sports events across Underdog social platforms.
• Collaborate with the Senior Director, Social Media on social strategy and daily content decisions.
• Align posts with overarching company goals.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including design, content, and production.
• Handle social media posting and ensure all copy is on-brand and optimized for engagement.
• Monitor metrics regularly and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and best practices.

Requirements

• 5-8 years of experience in managing social accounts across different platforms (Twitter, Instagram, TikTok).
• 1-2 years of experience managing at least one direct report.
• Interest and investment in all sports across all seasons.
• Comfortable working nights and weekends based on the sports calendar.
• Creative mindset with the ability to craft engaging copy and assist with social graphics.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
