The Information Security Manager, Software Asset Management position at American Express is a pivotal role that involves collaborating and partnering to develop and manage the organization's Software Asset Management program and IT Product Registry capabilities. This position is responsible for managing the product and program roadmap, as well as prioritizing the Engineering Team's sprint backlog for components of the IT Asset Management vision. The successful candidate will drive the detailed design and actively participate in all phases of the iterative process to deliver expected program outcomes. This includes designing, developing, and managing activities from solution definition and planning through to production, release, and retirement of products or processes related to IT Asset Management. As the central resource throughout all stages of a product or solution lifecycle, the Information Security Manager will manage the features backlog by identifying and prioritizing features and capabilities through direct input from customers, analysts, developers, and architects, leveraging their knowledge of the domain. The role requires ensuring that user stories and acceptance criteria are well-defined, facilitating the resolution of risks, issues, and changes related to the program, and being involved in modifications, upgrades, and maintenance of the technical solutions supporting the program. In partnership with others, the manager will prioritize and maintain a product backlog consistent with expected outcomes, perform story elaboration and refinement with the team, and communicate and collaborate to build consensus across stakeholders in crafting the solution design. The role also involves reviewing and demonstrating functionality with stakeholders and users, leading communications, training, and marketing related to user experience and expectations, and ensuring operational processes are functioning to support the overall program while meeting or exceeding key performance measures. The manager will partner with other teams to ensure seamless, supportable capabilities are developed for customers while adhering to high-quality standards, balancing customer experience with regulatory compliance, and ensuring audit deliverables are met with the least burdensome process. As a Subject Matter Expert, the manager will handle complex audits from internal and external agencies related to IT Asset Management and deliver required resolutions aligned with the plan.
