About the position

The Manager of Software Development and Engineering at Toyota Motor Credit Corp is responsible for leading an engineering team to develop advanced mobile and backend applications, as well as managing the infrastructure within the infotainment domain. This role involves guiding the development and operation of tools and applications, ensuring high-quality codebases, and addressing complex system design challenges.

Responsibilities

• Manage an engineering team of approximately 10 software professionals.
• Develop state-of-the-art mobile and backend applications and infrastructure.
• Guide the development and operation of infrastructure, tools, and applications within the infotainment domain.
• Oversee software application development including cloud DevOps model with AWS.
• Manage cloud infrastructure development using Terraform.
• Host external 3rd party applications.
• Maintain and improve codebases.
• Review and vet architecture and system design to solve complex distributed system problems with scale and security.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• At least 8 years of experience in software application development.
• At least 3 years of experience with cloud DevOps model with AWS.
• Experience in cloud infrastructure development using Terraform.
• Experience hosting external 3rd party applications.
• At least 2 years providing technical leadership in the infotainment domain.
