About the position
The Customer Identity and Access Management (CIAM) team at Zillow is responsible for developing an authentication and authorization platform that scales across one of the largest websites in the US. The role involves leading the mobile strategy for authentication and authorization, collaborating with various teams to implement features for millions of users on mobile applications, including the flagship Zillow Application on iOS and Android. The position emphasizes quick delivery and strong leadership in a remote work environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead the authentication and authorization mobile strategy.
- Coordinate with product, technical, and business teams to align with the company's vision.
- Collaborate with mobile teams to implement, design, and deliver features for mobile applications.
- Mentor and grow high-performing engineering teams.
- Set clear team and individual goals.
- Deliver high-quality products on time.
- Implement best engineering practices to improve effectiveness and efficiency.
Requirements
- 2+ years in management or tech leadership role.
- 5+ years of mobile software development experience as an individual contributor or team lead.
- Strong understanding of OAuth and mobile authentication best practices for iOS and Android.
- Experience partnering with product managers and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Knowledge of Agile software development methodologies.
- Demonstrated experience mentoring and growing engineering teams.
- High proficiency in Kotlin, Swift, Java, and ObjectiveC.
- Experience with Typescript, GraphQL, and/or React is a plus.
- Ability to create and negotiate a mobile authentication and authorization strategy.
