About the position

The Software Engineering Manager for Snap's Ad Data Infrastructure team will lead a group of engineers focused on enhancing the monetization data processing infrastructure. This role involves strategic planning, team management, and collaboration with various stakeholders to ensure the delivery of high-quality, mission-critical systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage and mentor a team of engineers in a fast-paced environment
• Set the strategy, build a roadmap, and create measurable goals for the team
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
• Evaluate technical tradeoffs of major decisions
• Hire, grow, and retain high-performing team members

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as Computer Science or equivalent experience
• 8+ years of experience in software engineering
• 2+ years of experience managing a team
• Strong technical understanding of modern data processing, storage, and querying solutions

Nice-to-haves

• Track record of delivery in rapidly changing environments
• Experience with Ops-heavy systems/products
• Hands-on experience with Kafka, Flink, or Google Cloud Dataflow
• Proficiency in using Google BigQuery
• Experience building solutions on modern data infrastructure
