About the position

Figma is seeking a dynamic Senior Manager to lead multiple teams in enhancing Figma's AI capabilities. This role focuses on providing personalized, streamlined, and intuitive solutions for users as the company expands its customer base and embraces new AI technologies. The manager will collaborate with various teams, including AI research, to drive innovation and implement AI products from inception to execution.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support a team of managers and engineers responsible for developing and improving Figma's AI capabilities in core products.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, AI research, and data science teams to define strategic goals and establish a roadmap for AI product development.
• Recruit, mentor, and retain high-performing engineers, contributing to a culture of innovation and collaboration.
• Drive innovation in 0->1 product areas, exploring and implementing new AI technologies to enhance user experience.
• Participate in building and driving initiatives for an inclusive and diverse team and culture.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience hiring and leading teams as an engineering manager with at least 2 years of experience managing managers.
• Previous experience in driving the development and optimization of AI capabilities within a product, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
• Excitement and curiosity for 0->1 product development, with a track record of crafting fast-moving organizations.

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge and experience in generative AI, RAG, and the fine-tuning process for creative products.
• Experience in product analytics and data to identify new opportunities for the team.
