About the position

The Software Engineering Manager at Snap Inc. is responsible for leading a team of mobile developers in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Responsibilities

• Manage and mentor a team of mobile developers in a fast-paced environment
• Set the strategy, build a roadmap, and create measurable goals
• Collaborate with Product, Operation, Data Science, and Engineering teams
• Evaluate technical tradeoffs of major decisions
• Hire, grow, and retain high-performing team members

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as Computer Science or equivalent experience
• 8+ years of experience working in software engineering
• 2+ years of experience managing a team
• 2+ years of experience with mobile software engineering
• Background with shipping mobile software on iOS, Android or both
• Experience leading an engineering team
• Ability to lead and execute large, complex technical initiatives

Nice-to-haves

• Track record of delivery in rapidly changing, highly collaborative environments
• Experience with building low-level frameworks for mobile software development
• Experience with mobile or embedded performance optimization
• Experience leading platform teams that influence technical change across large organizations
