About the position

The Software Engineering Manager for Client Foundation at Snap Inc. will lead a team of mobile developers in a dynamic environment focused on delivering innovative mobile software solutions for iOS and Android platforms. This role involves setting strategic direction, managing project roadmaps, and collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure successful product delivery while mentoring team members to achieve their professional goals.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and mentor a team of mobile developers in a fast-paced environment.
  • Set the strategy, build a roadmap, and create measurable goals for the team.
  • Collaborate with Product, Operation, Data Science, and Engineering teams, as well as executive stakeholders.
  • Evaluate technical tradeoffs of major decisions and provide strong technical mentorship.
  • Hire, grow, and retain high-performing team members.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as Computer Science or equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years of experience working in software engineering.
  • 2+ years of experience managing a team.
  • 2+ years of experience with mobile software engineering.

Nice-to-haves

  • Track record of delivery in rapidly changing, highly collaborative, multi-stakeholder environments.
  • Experience with building low-level frameworks for large-scale mobile software development.
  • Experience with mobile or embedded performance optimization.
  • Experience leading platform teams that influence technical change across large engineering organizations.
