Manager, Software Engineering - Mobile

About the position

Figma is seeking a passionate engineering manager to lead and grow our team of engineers responsible for building our iOS and Android applications. This role involves collaborating with product and engineering leadership to set strategic priorities and ensure the delivery of a best-in-class mobile experience. The manager will guide the team in executing a technical roadmap using the latest technologies, while fostering a positive work environment and promoting inclusivity within the team.

Responsibilities

• Manage, support, and grow the engineering team for iOS and Android applications.
• Partner with product and engineering leadership to set strategy, priorities, and mission for the mobile team.
• Collaborate with Product, Research, Design, and Data teams to define and build a best-in-class mobile experience.
• Guide the team in planning and executing a technical roadmap using the latest Apple and Android technologies.
• Establish trust and accountability within and across teams, creating a positive work environment.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience managing high output engineering teams.
• Proven track record of building and shipping high-quality mobile apps.
• A passion and unwavering commitment to improving engineering productivity.
• Experience scaling products and teams in high growth environments.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Swift and SwiftUI for iOS development.
• Experience with Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, coroutines, and flows for Android development.
