About the position
As an Engineering Leader at Ambient.ai, you will oversee a team of engineers dedicated to innovating products that transform the physical security industry. Your role involves developing new product concepts, supporting existing products, and collaborating with Product Managers to align strategies and execute the product roadmap. You will also be responsible for ensuring high technical standards and fostering a high-performing team culture.
Responsibilities
- Lead the current product engineering team, including front-end, mobile, and backend developers.
- Design, guide, and vet systems design related to product development.
- Scale the current team by hiring and onboarding new team members.
- Develop a high-performing team of software engineers.
- Ensure high technical standards through processes like architecture reviews and testing.
- Provide tools, context, confidence, and motivation to the team for effective decision-making.
- Set clear expectations and conduct regular performance discussions with team members.
Requirements
- 2+ years of engineering management experience with a proven ability to build high-performing teams.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical degree.
- Experience in driving architecture and product decisions with consistent execution.
- Proficient in full-stack design principles and capable of leading code architecture and implementation decisions.
- Comfortable coaching team members with varying skill sets and technical expertise.
- Experience in leading agile software development and management.
- Organized and able to thrive in rapid-paced environments.
