About the position

The Manager of Software Engineering (ServiceNow) will play a pivotal role in overseeing the delivery of complex projects that may involve multiple systems. This position requires a strong leader who can provide guidance to solution development teams, ensuring that they are engaged and motivated to promote process and organizational improvements that enhance overall effectiveness. The manager will be responsible for managing and facilitating technical experts and architects to resolve complex technical challenges while ensuring compliance with various company standards around coding, testing, and documentation of the systems developed. In this role, the manager will guide the transformation of complex business requirements into clear specifications, increasing the understanding of the 'Why' and 'What' aspects of business requirements for the development team. The position also involves developing both short and long-term strategies for the delivery of system objectives in collaboration with technical and business product owners and other partners. Additionally, the manager will lead data management and reporting efforts to promote a stable architecture and a usable platform, ensuring that the solutions provided are not only effective but also sustainable in the long run.

Responsibilities

  • Manages the delivery of complex projects which may involve multiple systems
  • Provides leadership to solution development teams, promoting process and organizational improvements
  • Manages and facilitates technical experts and architects to resolve complex technical challenges

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 8+ years in implementing various solutions with real-world examples
  • 6+ years of relevant work experience implementing and managing IT, Security and/or GRC solutions
  • Working knowledge with ServiceNow and familiarity with other cloud-based technology management solutions
  • Working knowledge of JavaScript
  • Knowledge of system architecture and data analytics

Nice-to-haves

  • Financial Services industry experience
  • Relevant certifications
