About The Position

As a Manager in Software Engineering, you will have the opportunity to work with modern cloud and container orchestration technologies in a production setting. Your role will be pivotal in scaling systems sustainably through automation and driving improvements to enhance reliability and velocity. You will be part of the Core Software team, a high-performance engineering group responsible for building the fundamental software that manages the ONTAP software product, which is recognized as the #1 Storage Operating System globally, managing hundreds of Exabytes of customer information. In this position, you will lead a team of high-performing software development and test engineers using a DevOps model. You will contribute your expertise to the software architecture and design of distributed system features, facilitating product design, implementation, and support. This role requires a broad-thinking and systems-focused individual who is creative, team-oriented, and technologically savvy. You will be responsible for ensuring the timely and high-quality release of modules in ONTAP, working closely with product management and customers to build the best product possible. Additionally, you will provide coaching and career development for your team members, ensuring they have the support they need to thrive in their roles. Your responsibilities will also include taking ownership of results, including costs, methods, and staffing, while fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation within your team.
