About the position

The Manager of Software Engineering is responsible for overseeing the analysis, programming, and testing activities related to software application development and support. This role involves managing a technical team, ensuring compliance with development processes, and maintaining high standards for software applications. The manager will also coordinate cross-functional activities, manage resource allocation, and support continuous improvement initiatives within the team.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the analysis, programming, and testing activities for software application development.
  • Lead and develop a highly technical team supporting application system development and production support.
  • Track and act upon work progress, reviewing and auditing the technical work of team members.
  • Manage work undertaken by contractors or third parties as necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with development processes and corporate standards.
  • Communicate with technical and business teams regarding project delivery and client needs.
  • Support team members with compliance issues and ensure adherence to regulatory standards.
  • Encourage a continuous improvement mindset within the team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field from an accredited university or relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Minimum of 6 years of related professional experience.
  • Preferably 1-2 years of experience in a supervisory position.
