About the position

The Manager of Software Engineering will oversee product development activities, ensuring high-quality solutions are created in collaboration with product management, design, support, and other development teams. This role involves managing the daily activities of the development team, solving complex problems, and enhancing the capabilities of a best-in-class engineering team.

Responsibilities

• Manage product development activities
• Work with product management, design, support, and other development teams to create high-quality solutions
• Manage daily activities of the development team
• Solve difficult and sometimes ambiguous problems
• Manage departmental resources, staffing, mentoring, and enhancing and maintaining a best-of-class engineering team

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience with technologies relevant to ServiceNow and advanced coding skills
• Experience with open source tools and agile development environments
• Fluency in one or more relevant programming languages (Java, C++, Ruby, Shell, JavaScript)
• An understanding of broad concepts and experience using those concepts to understand and develop solutions for problems
• Ability to execute a project based on priorities, context, risks, and desired outcomes
