The Manager, Software Engineering at Disney Experiences plays a pivotal role in shaping the digital landscape of the company's premier vacation brands, including Disney's Parks & Resorts, Disney Cruise Line, and Disney Vacation Club. This position is situated within the Resort Technology organization, which is part of the broader Technology & Digital team. The primary focus of this role is to oversee the end-to-end digital and physical Guest experience, ensuring that all technology and digital-led initiatives are executed flawlessly across various lines of business such as Attractions & Entertainment, Food & Beverage, Resorts & Transportation, and Merchandise. The Manager will work closely with various stakeholders, including the Resorts Line of Business and Finance, to drive innovation and operational excellence in the products and services offered. In this role, the Manager will be responsible for managing an engineering team that analyzes, designs, programs, debugs, and enhances software solutions across different computing environments. This includes overseeing the financial aspects of projects, ensuring accurate billing processes, and contributing to forecasting and accrual processes to maintain financial integrity. The Manager will also supervise the delivery optimization of large-scale software programs, coordinate with external vendors, and proactively seek opportunities for technology optimization and efficiency improvements. A key aspect of this position is to craft a roadmap for delivering a world-class support model, ensuring the ongoing health and performance of technology solutions. The Manager will engage in estimation and planning across the organization, providing technical recommendations and feedback to align with project goals. Additionally, the role requires tracking and assessing emerging technologies to inform strategic decision-making.
