As a Manager of Software Engineering, you will be at the forefront of our Beeswax Ad Serving team, which is integral to our platform. The Ad Serving system is designed to handle billions of ad auctions daily, making real-time decisions on which customers should participate and executing complex bidding strategies to optimize results in milliseconds. This role is not just about managing a team; it’s about leading the charge in developing high-quality, reliable software that meets the needs of our customers and drives their success. In this position, you will oversee the planning and design of software and web applications, ensuring that new programs, enhancements, and modifications align with our strategic goals. You will collaborate closely with the Beeswax Product Management team to deliver innovative features that enhance the customer experience. Your leadership will guide the technical architecture and engineering practices of your team, fostering an environment of growth and development. You will be responsible for managing all deliverables, ensuring adherence to deadlines, specifications, and budgets. This includes reviewing team members' work to maintain quality standards and providing technical support and training in Ad Serving capabilities. Staying abreast of emerging trends and technologies will be crucial as you drive improvements to our Ad Serving software infrastructure. Your role will also involve implementing performance metrics and preparing periodic reports to track project progress and communicate findings to the leadership team. The working conditions require effective collaboration with team members located in multiple remote locations and time zones, emphasizing the need for strong communication and organizational skills. You will be expected to work nights and weekends as necessary, demonstrating flexibility and commitment to the team's success.
