About the position

The position involves analyzing, designing, coding, testing, configuring, and modifying software projects and products using various programming languages and technologies. The role includes ensuring system improvements are implemented effectively, generating software engineering policies, and completing technical documentation for various functions. The candidate will also oversee and manage digital professionals, maintain knowledge of core business applications, and mentor team members in software engineering disciplines.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees and manages digital professionals and/or consultants, prioritizing work based on business and technology strategy.
  • Manages resources, including allocation of current resources into organizational priorities and developing resource plans and roadmaps.
  • Maintains a working knowledge of Ameren core business applications to effectively apply emerging technologies.
  • Displays broad knowledge across the software engineering discipline.
  • Utilizes in-depth knowledge to train, mentor, and coach team members.
  • Reviews critical tickets/incidents for accuracy and leads resolution processes for critical issues.
  • Utilizes in-depth knowledge of requirements development activities to train and mentor team members.
  • Facilitates meetings to mentor and coach co-workers using a large group network across the organization.
  • Remains abreast of new developments in the digital industry to maintain professional expertise and influence technology standards.
  • Prepares, manages, and supports multiple concurrent integrated enterprise system software implementation plans.
  • Builds and leads a team to execute on functional area objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in engineering, mathematics, computer science or business.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Previous people or project leadership experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of programming languages, operating systems, database management, middleware, configuration management technologies, container technologies, agile environments, and mobile applications.
  • Proficiency in DevSecOps, C#, and cloud environments (Azure or AWS).
