About the position

The Manager, Software Engineering at Alkami Technology is a cross-functional role responsible for coordinating tasks across various teams to ensure high-quality software delivery. This position requires a strong technical background in software development, problem-solving skills, and the ability to mentor and coach software engineers. The manager will foster a collaborative and results-oriented environment while driving technical discussions and evaluating team performance metrics.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate tasks between Engineering, QA, SRE, Release Management, Product, Architecture, and Scrum Master teams to ensure high-quality software delivery.
• Manage direct reports to build a high-performance team with high velocity while maintaining quality standards.
• Conduct regular one-on-ones with direct reports to support their growth.
• Collaborate with Product Management to assist in writing requirements for technical debt and participate in brainstorming sessions.
• Report accomplishments, goals, issues, and deliverable statuses to the Director of Product Engineering and other team members.
• Establish performance goals for all direct reports and provide coaching and mentoring.
• Drive innovation within the team and inspire passion in team members.

Requirements

• Strong background in .NET, C#, MVC, SAAS, SOA, MS SQL Server, JavaScript, Entity Framework, microservices, AWS/Azure.
• Experience in building scalable systems that are operationally efficient.
• Demonstrated growth and leadership of successful teams over time.
• Successful in managing multiple concurrent work streams.

Nice-to-haves

• Previous experience managing and mentoring a .NET team within an agile/scrum environment.
