About the position

DocuSign is a leading company in the field of e-signature and contract lifecycle management (CLM), with over 1.5 million customers and more than a billion users across 180 countries. The company is dedicated to transforming the way businesses manage agreements, making processes more efficient and user-friendly. As an Engineering Manager on the CLM Obligation Management team, you will play a crucial role in developing new features that help end users identify and create obligation terms within their agreements. This position involves leading a team of full stack engineers and overseeing the delivery of new features, ensuring that they align with the company's vision and product roadmap. In this role, you will coordinate with other engineering managers and teams to engage employees in the development of the product stack. You will also collaborate with key stakeholders to assemble a product roadmap that supports the company's strategic goals. As a people manager, you will be responsible for hiring, mentoring, and guiding your team, while also acting as a technical leader and delivery manager. Your responsibilities will include executing the product roadmap using agile practices, building and maintaining scalable and high-performance services, and improving the reliability of existing services. You will be expected to make data-driven decisions and own the Agile process and Sprint ceremonies, all while fostering a culture of growth and development within your team.

Responsibilities

  • Execute with our product roadmap using agile practices
  • Build and maintain a set of highly scalable, performant and high availability services
  • Work with partner teams to build solutions that meet the needs of many teams
  • Work with the Product Management team to gather requirements and architect the next set of services
  • Improve performance and reliability of existing services
  • Be data driven and push for making decisions based on telemetry
  • Own Agile process and Sprint Ceremonies
  • Help mentor and grow the team

Requirements

  • 5+ years of combined software development and management experience across multiple languages and frameworks or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of hands on software development or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of managing software organizations over 6 people or equivalent experience
  • Experience managing full stack engineering teams
  • Experience with Microsoft technology stack (.NET, C#, SQL Server, etc.)

Nice-to-haves

  • Demonstrated track record leading geographically dispersed teams
  • Experience in language, framework and toolset agnostic, having worked in at least 3 languages or paradigms
  • Experience leading mid to large sized full stack teams
  • Experience with cloud platforms
  • Experience with advanced web applications and TDD on the client side
  • Experience with large complex data ecosystems and data quality and lifecycle issues
  • A demonstrated track record of being a change agent, leaving every team and process better than you found it
  • Knowledge and experience in high scale, highly available (99.99+) systems
  • Experience with CSS, AJAX, JSON, HTML, or MVC
  • A track record of finding and developing great talent
  • Experience with full stack SaaS development
  • Experience launching V1 products
