About the position

The Manager of Software Engineering will lead the modernization of Strategic Data platforms within the Group Benefits IT organization. This role focuses on enhancing customer experience and improving the end-to-end delivery model as the company transitions to cloud-based solutions. The position requires a transformational technology leader with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of managing large-scale programs and driving cultural change within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Execution of the Partner Integrations roadmap across Strategic Data applications within the Group Benefits portfolio.
  • Driving cultural transformation within organizations and developing workforce strategies.
  • Managing offshore partners and ensuring effective collaboration.
  • Identifying challenges and risks, and proactively mitigating them during execution.
  • Leveraging technical acumen across a wide technology stack including Angular, Java, Informatica, and AWS.
  • Leading delivery teams, providing human resource management, coaching, and mentoring.
  • Communicating effectively with executives across business, technology, and partner organizations.
  • Managing financial aspects of projects and providing transparency to Product ownership and CFO.
  • Maturing DevSecOps practices and improving automation for continuous delivery.
  • Leading large-scale legacy application modernizations and cloud migrations.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of IT leadership experience executing large scale programs and change management.
  • Proven organizational transformational leadership across complex organizations.
  • Strong technology and delivery experience with large transformational programs, specifically with SAFE Agile execution.
  • Proven track record as a results-oriented IT leader collaborating with business leaders.
  • Deep knowledge of technology and software development life cycle, with experience in Agile methodology.
  • Strong understanding of business strategy and aligning technology roadmaps to business goals.
  • Strong people leadership abilities with skills in coaching and mentoring talent.
  • Ability to work across all levels of the organization, including senior management.
  • Proven ability to manage complex vendor relationships and offshore delivery models.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
