About the position

The Manager, Software Engineering is responsible for overseeing critical applications that support Little Caesars' business and store operations. This role involves providing technical leadership to a team throughout the software development lifecycle, ensuring high-quality deliverables, and managing medium to large-scale projects. The position requires collaboration with various business units and a focus on continuous improvement and technology enhancement.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee one or more critical applications, ensuring architecture and technical quality.
  • Assess necessary projects with business and IT management, prioritizing and allocating resources.
  • Collaborate with the Project Management Office to set project deliverables and timelines.
  • Ensure development projects are completed according to standards and user satisfaction.
  • Manage a team of developers and external resources, conducting regular management functions.
  • Lead research efforts and proof-of-concepts for new technologies.
  • Communicate project progress to IT management and business leadership.
  • Conduct post-mortems and project debriefs to identify areas for improvement.
  • Lead continuous improvement efforts within the team.
  • Play a lead role in systems evaluation and vendor selection processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (experience may be considered in lieu of education).
  • Minimum of ten (10) years' professional experience in a formal software development lifecycle.
  • Deep expertise in multiple technologies such as Microsoft.Net (C# or VB), Microservices, Azure, and database technologies.
  • Minimum of four (4) years' experience as a Manager of technical engineers.
  • Experience with formal project management tools and techniques.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Highly developed written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • POS and Stores Systems Experience.
  • Expertise of technology trends particularly in the QSR industry.
