About the position
The Manager of Software Engineering at Galileo Financial Technologies is responsible for leading the development and testing of software systems and services. This role involves shaping the technical architecture of products, translating product requirements into user stories, and delivering scalable services in a production environment. The manager will also mentor engineers, support the technical culture, and contribute to the growth of the team while generating ideas for new initiatives and technologies.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and testing of software systems and services.
- Engage in shaping the technical architecture of the product.
- Translate product requirements into user stories and technical solutions.
- Deliver highly available and scalable services in a production environment.
- Mentor other engineers and support the technical culture.
- Help grow the engineering team.
- Write, test, and deploy efficient, scalable code to production.
- Generate ideas for new initiatives and technologies.
- Communicate with project leads, product managers, and other software developers.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related quantitative discipline.
- Two years of experience in software engineering or a related field.
- Experience with Java, C#, and C++.
- Experience with Python, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Experience with SQL and RESTful Web Services.
- Experience with Linux, Jenkins, and Docker.
