About the position

As Software Engineering Manager at NinjaOne, you will lead and develop a software engineering team responsible for building and maintaining features for the NinjaOne IT Operations suite. This role involves collaborating with product management and platform engineering teams to ensure successful product delivery while fostering an agile and innovative engineering culture.

Responsibilities

• Guide and grow the software development team.
• Build new and maintain existing features for the NinjaOne IT Operations suite.
• Collaborate with internal teams on the software product roadmap and its delivery.
• Lead a growing, agile team of engineers, focusing on product technology and engineering growth.
• Provide technical expertise in full stack software development, including code reviews and deployment events.
• Mentor team members and ensure alignment across different technical teams.
• Identify gaps and improvements in existing implementations and team operations.
• Collaborate with Project Managers and Product Owners to develop valuable requirements and project vision.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent relevant work experience.
• 10+ years of cumulative software development experience in distributed client-server architectures.
• 3+ years of direct software engineering management experience.
• Expertise in software design and architecture, including CI/CD and modern web UI development.
• Experience with caching systems, key-value database systems, API development, and code quality best practices.
• Previous experience with adherence to security best practices.
• Experience in supervising, training, and mentoring engineering developers.
