About the position

The Manager of Software Engineering at Salesforce is responsible for developing and delivering reliable and scalable foundational services. This role involves designing and implementing identity and access services, creating a robust defense system utilizing machine learning, and ensuring cybersecurity across all phases of system maturity. The position requires collaboration with security teams and a focus on building a new internal cloud platform for network security controls.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver reliable and scalable foundational services.
• Design and implement consistent and scalable identity and access services for Salesforce.
• Develop highly scalable, automatic, and flexible defense systems integrating data collection and machine learning detection.
• Partner with security teams to design, implement, and run complex services.
• Provide a comprehensive vulnerability management program to eliminate risks from deficient software and hardware.
• Ensure systems are secure from cybersecurity vulnerabilities during design, development, and deployment phases.
• Develop infrastructure for reducing organizational risk and increasing service resilience.
• Help build a new internal cloud platform for network security controls and management.
• Develop highly-available and performant distributed systems for network-level security.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative discipline.
• Five years of experience in software engineering or related field.
• Experience with Azure, Spring Framework, SNS, DynamoDB, SQS, JBoss, GitLab, and New Relic (4 years each).
