About the position

The Manager Software Engineering at Lumen is responsible for designing and implementing the company's vision for the future. Responsibilities

• Design and implement software solutions aligned with Lumen's vision.
• Lead a team in software development and product delivery.
• Ensure adherence to REST API development and security standards.
• Utilize SQL and NoSQL databases for application development.
• Manage and utilize container ecosystems like Kubernetes and Docker.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines for efficient application development.
• Apply system design principles and performance engineering techniques.
• Explore and implement GenAI development using langchain and vector datastores.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Java or Python development, with proficiency in relevant frameworks.
• 3+ years of experience as a people manager, with a focus on growing and mentoring talent.
• Experience managing teams across multiple technology stacks and providing guidance as needed.

Nice-to-haves

• Familiarity with cloud computing technologies.
