About the position

As an Engineering Manager at LINQ, you will lead a cross-functional team in delivering high-quality business-critical applications. This role emphasizes hands-on management, requiring you to triage, troubleshoot, and guide technical projects while collaborating closely with product managers and quality assurance teams. Your focus will be on creating maintainable software solutions that meet business needs, while also setting standards for enterprise-level solutions in partnership with architecture teams.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a cross-functional team in delivering high-quality software applications.
  • Collaborate with product managers and quality assurance teams to fulfill business needs.
  • Triage and troubleshoot technical projects and escalations.
  • Guide the team in architectural decisions and best practices.
  • Work closely with architecture to define standards for enterprise-level solutions.

Requirements

  • At least 8+ years of experience in Software Application Development.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent working experience.
  • Strong understanding of relational database systems.
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented programming.
  • 5+ years designing and implementing products using SaaS, IaC event-driven, and/or micro-services.
  • Experience with Java, Angular, AWS, and NoSQL (DynamoDB preferred).
  • Experience leading or managing a team of empowered engineers.
  • Strong belief in and use of best practices.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Spring Boot.
  • Familiarity with TypeScript.
  • Knowledge of ElasticSearch/OpenSearch.
  • Experience with Docker.
  • Experience upgrading AngularJS to Angular.
  • Practicing DevOps and CI/CD.
  • Experience with .Net Core.
  • Familiarity with AWS Lambda, AWS Cognito, and AWS Event Bridge.
  • Experience with Data Dog.
