About the position

The Manager of Software Engineering at LNW Gaming, Inc. is a pivotal role responsible for overseeing the technical implementation of system products. The manager will ensure that all services engagements are adequately staffed to accomplish all assigned tasks efficiently and effectively. This role is essential in driving the technical direction of projects and ensuring that the engineering team is aligned with the company's strategic goals. In this position, the manager will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand customer needs and translate them into technical specifications. The role involves not only managing the engineering team but also mentoring and guiding team members to foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement. The manager will be responsible for setting performance standards, conducting regular performance reviews, and implementing training programs to enhance the team's skills and capabilities. Additionally, the manager will be involved in project planning and execution, ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within budget. This includes monitoring project progress, identifying potential risks, and implementing mitigation strategies. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field (or foreign equivalent) required.
  • 5 years of experience as Associate Technical Manager, Lead Engineer I, Senior Software Analyst, Software Analyst, or any combination thereof.
  • Strong technical background in software engineering and project management.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
