About the position

As an Engineering Manager at LINQ, you will lead a cross-functional team in delivering high-quality software applications that meet business needs. This role emphasizes technical excellence, continuous improvement, and teamwork, requiring a hands-on approach to guide the team through technical projects and architectural decisions. You will collaborate closely with product managers and quality assurance teams to ensure the software is maintainable and effective, while also setting standards for enterprise-level solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a cross-functional team in delivering business-critical applications.
  • Collaborate with product managers and quality assurance teams to create software that fulfills business needs.
  • Guide the team in technical projects, escalations, and architectural decisions.
  • Work closely with architecture to define and set standards for teams and products.
  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality, maintainable software.

Requirements

  • At least 8+ years of experience in Software Application Development.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent working experience.
  • Strong understanding of relational database systems.
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented programming.
  • 5+ years designing and implementing products using SaaS, IaC event-driven, and/or micro-services.
  • Experience with Java, Angular, AWS, and NoSQL (DynamoDB preferred).
  • Experience leading or managing a team of empowered engineers.
  • Strong belief in and use of best practices.

Nice-to-haves

  • Some experience in Spring Boot, TypeScript, ElasticSearch/OpenSearch, Docker.
  • Experience upgrading AngularJS to Angular.
  • Practicing DevOps and CI/CD.
  • Experience with .Net Core, AWS Lambda, AWS Cognito, and AWS Event Bridge.
  • Familiarity with Data Dog.
