About the position

As a Software Quality Engineering Manager at Lockheed Martin, you will be responsible for managing the AMMM Software Quality Engineering team. This role involves overseeing the recruitment, selection, and training of subordinate employees, as well as conducting performance assessments and managing salary and recognition/disciplinary actions. You will play a crucial role in resource allocation and work assignments, ensuring that an effective business rhythm is established and maintained. Your responsibilities will encompass all aspects of quality for the assigned area, including communicating quality requirements, concerns, and expectations to your team and stakeholders. In addition to managing the team, you will actively participate in risk and opportunity management processes, ensuring that cost commitments and financial responsibilities are met. You will be tasked with the identification and flow down of quality requirements, both internal and contractual, and will ensure their effective implementation within your area of responsibility. A key aspect of your role will be to implement a quality management system and a metrics program, addressing any adverse trends that may arise. Responsibilities

  • Manage the AMMM Software Quality Engineering team.
  • Oversee recruitment, selection, and training of subordinate employees.
  • Conduct performance assessments and manage salary and recognition/disciplinary actions.
  • Allocate resources and assign work effectively.
  • Establish and maintain an effective business rhythm.
  • Communicate quality requirements, concerns, and expectations.
  • Participate in risk and opportunity management processes.
  • Ensure cost commitments and financial responsibilities are met.
  • Identify and flow down quality requirements (internal and contractual).
  • Implement quality management systems within the area of responsibility.
  • Develop and implement a metrics program to address adverse trends.

Requirements

  • STEM Bachelor's degree.
  • Prior leadership experience.
  • Budget oversight and management experience.
  • Working knowledge of advanced Quality Engineering tools.
  • Experience implementing process evaluation techniques.
  • Experience in implementing performance improvement processes.
  • Analytical skills to measure internal/external process performance and behavior.
